I am sorry that I am currently in jail. I hate being here. I want to be with you. I count each and every day that passes by here. It’s very lonely and cold. The ocean breeze has been relaxing in the summer, and it makes me connect to the real world. My cell neighbor, Abbe, has been teaching me life tactics. He has taught me arithmetic and foreign languages right now. I’m trying to write complete sentences in the languages. Below, I will write the same sentence in French, Enlgish, German, and Latin. Please do not hesitate to decode my writings!
Look! It’s the book Alexadre Dumas wrote about me!
In this book, my life is summarized. You start out with me sailing and returning to Marseilles, the French town where I resided at the time with my fiancee, Mercedes. I returned with many treasures. My best pal, Franz, was secretly in love with Mercedes. He had set up a plan to jail me. Franz, along with a few other men wrote a letter saying that I, Edmond Dantes, conspired with Napoleon, who was currently exiled to Elba. This was not true, at all! But the goverment believed him the letter and sent me to jail. If you wish to know what happens after that, read the book!
